Forget Eric Rudolph, Timothy McViegh and the Ob/Gyn hit squads, according to the Bush Administration domestic right-wing nut jobs are not a problem. The next big terrorist act will be the work of tree huggers.
A recent internal Homeland Security document lists the Animal Liberation Front and the Earth Liberation Front with a few Islamic groups that could potentially support al-Qaida as domestic terror threats.

The document does not address threats posed by white supremacists, violent militiamen, anti-abortion bombers and other extremists that Rep. Bennie G. Thompson, D-Miss., called "right-wing hate groups."

Rush Limbaugh yesterday felt compelled on the day marking the Oklahoma City Bombing, to point out that most terrorist acts in the US, i.e., vandalism -- were on the left. Not suprisingly, he equates torching an SUV with killing people.

It's interesting to watch nutters studiously avoid comment on the Eric Rudolph case when much of what Rudolph said in his written statement "justifying" his bombings comes right out of the talking points playbook of Tom Delay, James Dobson, and the rest of the nutty right. I'm wondering who will suddenly be tight lipped the next time a judge gets shot.

If I woke up to a loud explosion and found my car obliterated, then I'd feel pretty terrorized. When Honda Civic owners steal my blinky lights, then I'm simply pissed. While all these leftists pose threats to life and property, it's the desperate asshole with a gun who worries me most.

I believe they were on the dealers' lot, not in front of the owner's house. Now, when they torched that ski lodge that really made me angry.

The way the Right thinks (an oxymoron if there ever was one), they should be giving Rudolph a Congressional Medal of Honor, shouldn't they?
