All who live here are temporary residents. The portraits that are presented today will be held permanently in the White House collection, for all the ages.
And so, beginning today, the likenesses of President William Jefferson Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton will take their place in a line that began with George and Martha Washington.
(APPLAUSE)
Laura and I are pleased to welcome members of the Clinton and Rodham families.

I caught this live. Bush was charming and sincere. Noticeably absent from this ceromony was that Bushean smirk you love so well. The coverage of this event was indeed accurate. Bush had nothing but kind words and praise for the Clintons. There was, however, one exception. Here's how Faux News covered the event:
Former President Clinton and former first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton unveiled their official White House portraits in an emotional East Room ceremony Monday.
Clinton said he was honored that his likeness is joining those of other chief executives, though he added it made him feel "like a pickle stepping into history." Sen. Clinton called the experience "daunting."
President Bush and his wife, Laura, participated in the ceremony with their predecessors.
The oil paintings are both by Simmie Knox...
