As Fox is going through every phone book in America in search of people to provide thoughts and insights into Reagan's acting career, it was only a matter of time until I recieved a call.
| Me: | Who? |
| Fox: | Ronald Reagan |
| Me: | Oh, Bonzo |
| Fox: | No, Bonzo was the chimp. Reagan was president during the 1980s |
| Me: | Really? If you say so. The 80s were a little blurry... |
| Fox: | Your thoughts? |
| Me: | I celebrated by selling my guns to the Iranian down the street. I gave the money to a Latino to turn the tide in a turf war. Then I rang up tons of credit card debt. |
| Fox: | How did that make you feel? |
| Me: | It made me want to pull shades down tight and play the Smiths albums... |

Another FOX Breaking News Flash
Last night, Faux "News" reported that stock markets surged due to memories of Ronald Reagan's presidency. (No. I'm not making this up....)

Why don't you just get down on your knees and worship the ground that Ronald Reagan walked upon? You owe him for the freedom to write this shit.

Can you imagine Jeff's blog during World War II.
"Japan attacked us. What are we doing attacking Germany!"
"I don't care how many American lives were saved. Truman had no right or authority to drop the bomb!"
"A plurality of the American people don't want us to be involved in Europe's business!"
"No blood for Jews!"
and on and on and on and on and on and on and on

Um, on the morning of December 11, 1941 Nazi Germany declared war on the United States. Roosevelt asked for a declaration of war later that day. The Germans immediately attacked American vessels up and down the eastern coast and into the Gulf of Mexico. War against Germany was certainly justified.
The U.S. could have brought Japan to surrender with conventional bombs. Consider the devastation of the Doolittle raid. So what's the difference? Conventional bombs injure civilians who support a hostile government. Atomic bombs injure the living plus individuals yet to be born. In the end Truman dropped the bomb for one reason: It cost over two billion dollars to make. Politically he couldn't possibly sit on a weapon with that unfathomable price tag.
