A pedophile builds a fun and comfortable environment with which he can entice children. His home is filled with toys, games, candy and ice cream. It's a fun place where children and adults mix freely without social stigma. Perversion is masked by a commitment to social conscience. "We must do what we can to save the children." A pedophile devotes time to organizations which build character, sporting leagues, church youth groups and the boy scouts. He surrounds himself with the objects of his desire.

If Michael Jackson doesn't fit the profile of a child molestor, then I don't know who does. Neverland Ranch is the essense of child bait. What ten year old kid wouldn't want to spend the night surrounded by fantastic allure in the company of an international superstar? Few people sound the alarm of harm inflicted upon children louder than Michael Jackson. He told Ed Bradley that he sees the face of God in children. A Christian would not think to mar such a sacred image. Jackson declared that he would slit his wrist before he would do damage to one of those blessed creatures.

Many predatory sexual deviants devote themselves to troubled youth. They smother them with money and attention in order to extract gratification. In Jackson's case, Neverland guests to whom he offers special attention are troubled by terminal medical problems. They are showered with gifts and affection. The extravagance of Neverland generosity could certainly be leveraged to extract reciprocal affection. But what do the underprivileged bestow an international superstar? Again the pattern fits the profile.

If Jackson is convicted of charges related to child molestation, then I would not be at all surprised. But if he's exonerated, then that wouldn't shock me either. Although Jackson perfectly fits the profile of a pedophile, I can't comfortably call this case open and shut. What prevents me from pointing an accusatory finger is Jackson himself. The man is completely nuts. While it certainly seems like he fondles little boys, he may also be telling the truth. Jackson may simply be having pajama parties characterized with pillow fights and hot cocoa.

In a country obsessed with fame, Jackson's youth may be enviable. But clearly the man emerged from adolescence with something less than a full deck. He has spent millions to alter the appearance of the man that he's become. Large mental walls were constructed around the image of his father. The pop icon longs for a childhood denied him, the reality of which has since become an idyllic fantasy. If he is involved in innocent pajama parties, then it may be just a bizarre attempt to live a life he wished he had. But if he is fondling little boys, then all that nuttiness was probably just an act, an grand attempt to mask perversion. Either way, I wouldn't trust him around children that I may happen to create.

I thnk they set him up. If someone molested my kid I would not take money for it I would want the person put away.
