Quota Schmota The New York Times was again forced to defend one of its young reporters. "Yes, yes, yes. He adds diversity to the newsroom. But that young man has demonstrated profound ability. No, he's not here just to fill a quota. With complete sincerity, I can tell you that Bonzo earned that position."

Where's Saddam? Sitting arm in arm in Syria, Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden have again organized terrorists strikes against American interests this time in Saudi Arabia. United States officials assert that the strikes were organized via conference call chaired by the duo. Also in attendance were North Korea's Kim Jong-Il, Cuba's Fidel Castro, Lybia's Momar Khadfi, and a bunch of sketchy Iranians and Sudanese. |
| According to presidential spokesman, Ari Fleischer, "those individuals have left us with no option but invasion." He added, "Except for Cuba which has no oil. Oh, and uh, strike bin Laden for now. His pre-mature capture will make it impossible to justify the Saudi invasion. That's not scheduled until the eve of the presidential election."

Sideline Babe Melissa Stark, a.k.a., the only only reason to watch Monday Night Football, announced her retirement this week. Stark, who is pregnant, has decided to "close this chapter of my life" and do other things which don't involve looking good in front of the camera. Her perky breasts personality will be missed.

From the Say It Ain't So Department: ABC's Monday Night audience loses Stark but retains Madden. [shudder]

Texas Republicans were pulling then ... they ... ran ... away....
But at least they care about something! They fled Texas so that
its government would ... cease to ...
function....
Man, we are so fucked in 2004.
<= this means I stole the picture...

| Microsofties
In recent months several foreign governments have expressed concern that many state secrets are entrusted to Microsoft products whose source code is squirreled away in Redmond, Washington. As a result, many of those governments have started to award contracts to indigenous companies that provide solutions based on open source software. In response, Microsoft will reveal its new Government Security Program which will allow foreign governments to view the source code. At the same time, they have ushered in a new policy of complete and total honesty...
