Judy Battista is the best New York Jets beat writer. She is very good at what she does. But because New York Times management pushed a social agenda to the detriment of that publication's integrity, her credibility is now blemished. I like to think she's covering the Jets because she should be covering the Jets, not because she's the token "chick" in the sports department.

Are you running out of material? I could make a post about my Aunt Martha's meatloaf for real fun.

That would be one more article than you've posted so far....

But my gut feeling is this: you've never tried your aunt Martha's meatloaf recipe. Meatloaf is a work-a-day meal served to immediate family. I doubt very much that your aunt was serving it to guests. Frankly, I'm filled with doubt with regard to this woman's existance. I suspect that you don't have an aunt Martha. The name wreaks of fabrication.

Do you think the NYT opened your email?

Even if you have an aunt Martha, a name which conveniently maps to a famous Stewart known for pushing recipes on an unsuspecting public, what assurances do we have that following this hypothetical recipe will be worth our collective effort. Really, who eats meatloaf any more? I haven't sampled that culinary disaster since the 1970s. Where is the editorial staff which allows this stuff into the public domain? Is anybody checking this guy's "facts?" I'm beginning to think that "Mark" (if that is his real name) merely fills a diversity quota.

I do have an Aunt Martha...who is dead.

I had meatloaf two weeks ago - it was the special at the Midway Hotel. The meatloaf came with real mashed potatoes, green beans, and a roll. I ate the roll before the dinner came out. I had the cook add gravy to the meatloaf & potatoes.

While the meatloaf was the special two weeks ago, it is a daily item on the menu.

Although you can't beat the Midways cooking, it isn't upscale enough for Jeffey Guy
