  • Blog Day Afternoon Should Have Seen This Coming... - Blog Day Afternoon

Washington Foreskins owner, Daniel Snyder, has been raiding the New York Jets this offseason. He signed guard Randy Thomas, reciever Laveranues Coles (for more money than the player had asked for), place kicker John Hall and kick returner Chad Morton. The latter was awarded to Washington by an arbitrator who ruled the Jets did not properly match his offer sheet.

Throughout the arbitration process, NFL pundits had agreed that the arbitrator would probably rule one of two ways: the Jets would get Morton under the terms which they matched his offer sheet (which had been approved by the league's legal eagles), or they would have to match the original offer sheet verbatim. A third scenario, deemed unlikely, was that Morton could be awarded to Washington.

The unlikely scenario did occur. Morton was awarded to Washington. How did this happen? Consider the fact that the arbitrator was a Foreskins season ticket holder, and that's all you need to know.

I wonder how Chad Morton feels about this? Many people made decisions where he will be employed, not one of those people included himself. He most feel like a very expensive slave. What happens if he does not product his year? He will be sold off again!

Well at least the JETS get a fith round draft pick!

It must stink to get paid over one millions dollars a year to play football. I really feel sorry for him.
