  • American Empire Bush the Heretic - American Empire
Posted by Matt (Monday February 24 2003 @ 11:36AM EST)
According to the Herald Sun Bush has told us that it is the will of "the Almighty" that we attack Iraq and overthrow Saddam.

    No, I am not joking.

Bush is not a Catholic, so he can't claim the Pope communicated the will of God to him. So where is Bush getting his personal audience with God? Where is the Burning Bush or the prophet? Or is Bush just a filthy liar who would commit heresy to serve his own agenda?

The principles of Just War Theory haven't changed much since Augustine laid them down. Bush would do well to remember them, and if he values his soul in the afterlife, he should stop claiming to speak for God.
