  • American Empire Fear, Uncertainty, and Gun Owners - American Empire
Posted by Matt (Thursday February 20 2003 @ 09:21AM EST)
In my last column I mentioned that a state at war is incompatible with a state that protects individual freedoms. The current administration and opportunistic media are betraying real conservatives at every turn with their double talk about terrorism.

Since the DC Sniper fright, gun owners are witnessing that betrayal first hand. In Tampa on Monday 2/17 police sent SWAT commandos and an Armored Personnel Carrier to the home of a man based on a single ignorant tip that he had guns and explosives. The man had broken no law. SWAT surrounded the unoccupied house and evacuated 15 others based on this single tip from a nervous bank foreclosure agent.

Let's wait and see if the governor of Florida, a member of the House of Bush, responds to this outrage.
